Beat Niklaus Leuenberger of Listowel passed away at Wingham Hospital on Sunday, June 22, 2025, in his 75th year.

Husband of Elisabeth (Moser) Leuenberger for almost 53 years. Father of Beatrice & Don Hollinger of Milverton, Cornelia & Stanley Gulutzen of Molesworth, Sandra & Dean Nicholson of Bluevale, Ruth & Eugene Atchison of Ayton, Sara & Steve Ropp of Walton, and Tamara & Ken Brown of Teeswater.

Grandfather of Thomas, Katlyn & Chris, Julie & Bailey, Kelsey, Michael, Nicole & Mark, Ryan & Lilly, Hunter, Parker, Victoria & Blaine, Vanessa, Madison & Tyler, Cody & Christina, Tyrees, Brayden, Alivia, Haylee, Cole, Layla, and Levi, and great-grandfather of Oakley, Sage, Summer, Taylor, Tiffany, Tyler, Tila, Wesley, and Sophia.

Brother of Elisabeth Studer-Leuenberger, and Thomas Leuenberger & Thesi Gruetter, and brother-in-law of Therese Leuenberger, all of Switzerland. Predeceased by his parents Niklaus & Bertha (Schweighauser) Leuenberger, brother Martin Leuenberger, and brother-in-law Fritz Studer.

Beat and Elisabeth married July 14, 1972. In 1984 they immigrated to Canada with their 4 daughters to farm and later raised 2 more daughters and started Trucking. In 1990 he bought his own Volvo truck that he was so proud of and took his girls on many work trips in it. In 1992 they moved to a farm in Jamestown until 2012 when they semi-retired and moved to Listowel. Beat still enjoyed driving the water truck for Brussels Agromart for many years until he retired.

Together Beat and Elisabeth enjoyed dancing and going on many trips, and they always enjoyed their trips to the casino. Beat always loved to joke and tell jokes. He enjoyed spending time with all his grandkids and great-grandkids.

Please join Beat’s family at the Wroxeter Hall on Sunday, June 29, 2025 from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. to celebrate his life. Rev. Jeff Hawkins will share a message at 2:00 p.m. Interment in Fairview Cemetery, Listowel.

Memorial donations to Wingham Hospital (Palliative Care) or Palmerston Hospital (Dialysis Unit) would be appreciated, and may be made through the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel.
