LINKERT, Evelyn Phylis Linkert
Lovingly known as Phylis Linkert, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2026, at the age of 73. Born on December 29, 1952, Bonnie lived a full and vibrant life rooted in Phelpston, Ontario, where she became known for her strong spirit, generous heart, and unwavering love for others. Bonnie was a woman who lived passionately and authentically. She had a deep love for her community and found great joy in supporting local events—especially those that brought happiness to children or helped animals in need. Her compassion extended to all living creatures, but her beloved fur babies, Daisy, Jasmine, and Rosie, held a very special place in her heart.

She had a keen eye for fashion and took pride in finding a great bargain, always managing to combine style with practicality. Bonnie was also known for her straightforward nature—she spoke her mind honestly and openly, always with the intention of lifting others up and helping them see their worth.

Bonnie had a remarkable gift: she gave unconditional love to anyone who needed it, often paired with just the right amount of tough encouragement. She inspired confidence in those around her, making people believe they could conquer the world simply through her words, her strength, and her unwavering support.

She is lovingly remembered by her husband Terry; her children Tammy (Justin) and John; and her cherished grandchildren Chris, Cameron, and Colby, who were truly the sparkle in her eyes and her greatest joy. She is also survived by her sisters Colette and Theresa. Bonnie was predeceased by her parents, Evelyn and Norm; her brother Maurice; and her son Terry.

A Celebration of Life will be held on April 1, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Lions Gate, 386 Blake Street, Barrie, Ontario. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any animal shelter or rescue organization in Bonnie’s honour, reflecting her lifelong love and compassion for animals. Bonnie’s legacy of love, honesty, and strength will live on in all who knew her.
