June Lister, beloved mom, grandma and great grandma, wife of Tom Lister (predeceased 2001), mother of Cindy (Len), Ted (Sharon) and Nancy (Michael), grandmother of six and GG of ten, passed away peacefully at Oak Ridges Hospice February 14.

Take all the good things you could hope for in a mother and that was our mom. Family came first, but there was still plenty of love and laughter left over for friends and strays, both human and animal, and she shone that wonderful light around her for 92 years.

She loved all things Mickey Mouse and the child in her delighted in every holiday she could use to justify decorating the front lawn of our childhood home. She and Dad along with Grandma made a couple of trips to Disney World and there were many additional adventures in the fifth wheel trailer to destinations across Canada.

We called them the three musketeers, and now they are united once again.

After 52 years in Pickering, Mom moved into a West Shore bungalow where she struck up new friendships with fellow Bungalonians. She moved to the West Shore residence when her vision declined where she was treated with respect, compassion, and humour and we cannot thank the staff enough for their exemplary care of Mom.

She leaves behind a lifetime of memories to sustain us.
