LLOYD, Charles Wesley Lloyd
December 27, 1931 - May 11, 2026He passed away peacefully on May 11, 2026, at Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay, with his daughter, Lorry guiding him along that cow path, that only an old dairy farmer would remember with his final breath. Charles Wesley Lloyd was born on December 27, 1931, to Edgar and Daisy Lloyd (nee Raines) on the family farm between the 13th and 14th concessions of Brock Township. Charlie wore a few different hats over his lifetime, helping on his parentsβ farm, a winter spent logging south of Dorest, On, heading west to Rolo, Saskatchewan, to help with harvesting the wheat crops, working for a subsidiary company of GM in fittings and then transitioning on to General Motors for four years before quitting and farming full time.
His passions and happy places were hunting and fishing, probably instilled in him by his late Uncle Wilfred, along with the thrill of an open road trip adventure. Charlie leaves behind the love of his life, Madeline Faye Lloyd (nee Drake) of 70 plus years, daughters Deb Crook (Rick), Lorry Ward (Ron), granddaughters, Sarah Ward (John Howell), Bonnie Ferguson (Neil), great granddaughters, Paisley and Grace Ferguson and step great grandchildren, Hunter and Emma Howell. Cherished brother of Ruth Beach (Jerry Sr. 2005), foster brother of Ed and his wife Anne Duffield, predeceased by brothers Mervin (his wife, Olive), John and nephews Jerry Jr. and Wayne. Brother-in-law of George and Helen Drake, predeceased, Harvey Drake, predeceased, Glenna and Ivan Smith, predeceased, Keith and Pam Drake, predeceased, Bonnie Drake and Dale predeceased, Dean Drake and Alma, predeceased, June Beddows and Daryl, predeceased, Donna and Jim Scott. As well as being remembered by many nieces and nephews from both sides of the family.
