Lloyd King

Peacefully, surrounded by loving family on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at Lambton Meadowview Villa, Lloyd Dawson King passed away at the age of 101. Beloved husband of the late Frances Jean King (2021). Loving father of Dan (Nancy) King and Gary (Sharon) King. Cherished grandfather of Trevor (Kailyn), Lindsay (Mitch), Katie (Matt), Courtney (Adam) and Carly (Lachlan). Treasured great- grandfather of Mark, Abby, Paige, Logan, Leah, and Ryan. Predeceased by his parents James and Agnes King, brother Harold, and sisters; Freda (Ken) Elliott, Mary King, Edna (Ronald) Fenwick, and Dora (Jack) Berry.

Lloyd and Frances were happily married for 69 years; together they resided on the family farm since 1953. Lloyd was a member of London Road West United Church for 65 years, a member of the Married Couples Group of London Road West United Church, and a longtime member of Oddfellows Lodge in Wyoming, ON. Lloyd enjoyed spending time with family and friends, euchre parties, and vacations. He was also a retiree of Imperial Oil, Sarnia Refinery, and a lifelong farmer.

Family and friends will be received at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Thursday, August 20, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with service beginning at 12:00 p.m. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to London Road West United Church Memorial Fund or charity of your choice (cheques only at the funeral home, please).
