Passed away peacefully on Saturday October 10th, 2026, with family by her side at Freeport Hospice in her 92nd year. Lorraine Prickett (Hammer) of Cambridge was predeceased by her parent’s husband Wilson George. Lorraine beloved mother of Katherine Gibson, Wayne Prickett (Christine), Jeffrey Prickett (Diana) and Sheri McClure (Rodney). Lorraine was predeceased by her daughter Linda Anne. Grandmother of 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Lorraine will be missed by her sister-in-law Millie Hartrick, nieces and nephews’ other family and many friends.
The funeral will be held at the Barthel Funeral Home 566 Queenston Road in Cambridge where the family will receive friends for visitation on Friday October 16 from 10 am – 11am with funeral service to take place at the funeral home at 11 am. Interment Parklawn Cemetery after service. A reception will follow at Barthel Funeral Home following the burial.

Lorraine touched the heart of many people through her caring and kindness. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Lorraine was very much all about her family which meant everything to her. She loved to spend time with her family and cruising the Caribbean.
