Louis (Lou) Henri Bergeron, 77, of Cobourg, Ontario, passed away on October 11, 2026, at Northumberland Hills Hospital in Cobourg. He was born on December 19, 1948, in Quebec City, the eldest son of Annette and Henry Bergeron.
Lou studied chemistry at Scarborough College of the University of Toronto and built a long career in information technology with Xerox Canada. A dedicated lifelong learner, he continued to expand his knowledge through books and shared a refined love of fine dining and excellent wines.
He is survived by his wife Sharon, his spouse of 33 years, and his brother John. Lou faced Parkinson’s disease with quiet courage. A celebration of his life will be held at MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 30 King Street East, Cobourg, on November 15, 2026, with tributes at 1:00 p.m.; donations to Parkinson Canada are welcome in lieu of flowers.
