LOVELL, David John Lovell

“Good morning beautiful”, this is how Dave started every morning with his cherished wife Erica.  As Dave always said – “we accomplished a lot in our 17 years together!”

David John Lovell passed away at Stedman Community Hospice on July 4, 2026, surrounded by his best friend Ken, son Greg, and wife Erica.  He was predeceased by his parents Jack and Lillian.  Father to Greg & Trina. Brother to Diane (John), James (Denyse), and Susan (Dennis). Brother-in-law of Joe and Christine.  Papa to Tristen, Cash, Daysha, and Mya.  Step-father to Amanda (Brandon), Samantha (Travis), and Tyler (Emily).  Grandpa Dave to Kayce, Hazel, Oaklyn, Easton, Hunter, and Kade.

Dave was very active in his daily life.  He enjoyed a variety of different physical activities, especially hockey, golf, baseball and cycling.  He was an extremely talented woodworker, and this was evident in the various projects that he completed around his home.  He cherished time spent with family and friends.  He will be deeply missed by many.

Dave’s family would like to extend special thanks to Nurse Tracey and the teams at Stedman Hospice and Juravinski for their exceptional care and compassion during this difficult time.  Erica and family would also like to extend their thanks and heartfelt gratitude to the community in the “hood” for the beautiful flowers and their care and support during this time.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Brantford Golf and County Club, 60 Ava Road, Brantford, ON, on September 13, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.  Donations to a charity of your choice in Dave’s memory would be appreciated by the family.
