LRWIN, Alice Miriam Irwin

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Alice Miriam Irwin (nee Moffatt), who left us on June 24, 2026 in her 82nd year after a 12 – year fight with cancer. She is at peace now.

Alice was the devoted wife and best friend to Stuart Irwin, married 63 wonderful years. Alice is predeceased by her parents John (Mac) and Ivy Moffatt and Seven brothers. She is survived by her loving husband Stu and her children Kim (Brent), Bonnie (Dennis), Janet (Raymond), Pattie (Ron), and Stuart (Darlene). Lovingly remembered by 13 grandchildren and their spouses as well as 19 great grandchildren. Cherished by sister Pat Kirton and lots of nieces and nephews.

Alice was born in Fonthill, Ontario. Alice and her family moved to Orono in 1972. They have been long time residents ever since. During this time, they ran a restaurant called Alices Place and up until recently, running an accounting practice with her husband and family.

Alice will forever be remembered for fiery red hair, the love of her family, her kindness, wisdom, and laughter. She will live forever in our hearts.

As per Alice’s wishes there will be no service held and a private family gathering will take place.
