Joseph Cassidy Lynch

January 12, 1935 – October 29, 2024

Joseph “Joe” Cassidy Lynch passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family, on Tuesday, October 29th, 2024, at the age of 89. Beloved husband of Florence (née Plews) and loving father to Ron and Chris. He was the proud grandfather of Kristy and Kyle. Predeceased by his parents Vince and Nora Lynch (née Cassidy) and all of his 11 siblings, Joe was the last of his generation. He is survived by brother-in-law Larry Plews and wife Mary-Anne, and sister-in-law Maureen Cruickshank and husband Elmer. Joe will be dearly missed by all his family and friends.

Joe took pride in farming, tending to his hay and cattle, and cherished his years working for General Motors. A true Canadian at heart, he appreciated everything made in Canada. Known for his storytelling and quick wit, Joe supported his grandchildren in all their pursuits and never missed a hockey game. A longstanding member of the Friendship Group, Joe was a source of strength and wisdom to his family and community.
