In Loving Memory of Mrs. Rita MacDonald who passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at the age of 87 years. Beloved wife of the late Ronald Joseph MacDonald.

Loving mother to Peter (Charlene), Phillip ( D’Arcy), Gregory, Michael (Tracy). Dear grandmother to Bryce, Lauren, Grace, Joey (Joohee) Emma, Ashley, Jack, Cassidy and Alexander. Cherished great grand mother to Brayden and Isla.

She also leaves behind her siblings Julia Burmaster and Mabel Skilton.

She is predeceased by her parents Joseph and Eleanor Foley, by her brother and sisters Marie Watson, John Foley, Theresa Henry, Anna Brennan and Joan White.

Rita was a dedicated teacher for over 30 years. She loved to garden, play cards, dance, travel, and cheer on her favourite sports teams.

Visitation will be held at Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home on Sunday, June 15, 2025, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, June 16, 2025, at 11 a.m. at St Joseph’s Catholic Church,127 Liberty St S, Bowmanville, ON L1C 2P5.
