It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Robert Wayne “Bob” MacDonald of Teeswater, Ontario who passed away on September 2, 2025 at the age of 84.
Bob will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 62 years, Carol; his children Margaret (Jon), Linda (Tom), Richard (Brenda) and Julia (Luuk); his grandchildren Sarah (Matt), Garner (Michaela), Alex, Austin, Courtney and Amelia; five great-grandchildren; his brother Ron (Lois) and his sister Gayle (Peter); as well as numerous relatives and friends. He will also be missed by his friends at UBC Local 2222.
He was predeceased by his loving parents Stewart and Ivadell (née Leeson) and brothers David and Jim (Marjorie).
Born and raised in Bruce County, he was the son of dairy farming parents, where his strong work ethic and commitment to family began. Carrying on the tradition of farming, he worked a mixed farm with beef and pork while also holding full-time employment off the farm. A true craftsman, he was a carpenter by trade, but also lent his skills as a plumber, welder and electrician. For many years, he worked at Bruce Power where his knowledge, dedication and willingness to help others were well recognized.
He will be remembered for his hard work, resourcefulness and unwavering love for his family and community.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Teeswater Town Hall on September 20, 2025 from 1pm to 4pm with a tribute at 2pm.
Final resting place, Culross-Teeswater Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made in Bob’s name to the Wingham & District Hospital Foundation or The Hospital for Sick Children Foundation.
