Joan MacGregor

Joan passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at Oak Ridges Hospice in Port Perry, surrounded by the love of her family, at the age of 93. Joan was predeceased by her beloved husband of 63 years Ron (2015). Loving mother of Janet (Martin) Joncas, Leanne (Darren) McAlister and predeceased by her son Brian (2006) and daughter-in-law Kim (2014). Proud Grandma and Grammie of Jennifer (Terrence), Jessica (Graham), Matthew (Kristina) and Marissa. Wonderful Great Grandma to Oaklan, Blake, Everette and Rylee. Joan was predeceased by her parents Charles and Elizabeth Bowen, her sisters Helen (Wilber Kingston), Dorothy (Allan Imeson) and Norma (Wallace Bruce). She will be missed by sister-in-law June (Len Beeston) and niece Joan (Egon Winter) and many neighbours and friends.

Family and friends will be received at Mount Lawn Funeral Home & Cemetery, 21 Garrard Road, Whitby (North of Highway 2) on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 from 1:30 p.m. until time of Service in the Chapel at 2:30 p.m. Interment will follow at Mount Lawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations made in memory of Joan to Oak Ridges Hospice of Port Perry, SickKids Foundation or a charity of choice would be appreciated by her family.
