Eva will also be missed by her sisters-in-law Carol Wolverton, Hazel Wolverton, Shirley MacLeod, as well as her many nieces, nephews and friends.

Predeceased by her son Cedric MacLeod, mother Bessie Wolverton (nee Giberson), stepfather Donald Wolverton Sr., her father Gordon Tweedie, stepmother Donna Tweedie, and by her siblings Doris Gallagher, Anna Dewley, Donald Wolverton, Harry Wolverton and David Wolverton.

Eva was born and raised in New Brunswick. She relocated to Ontario in 1950 with her husband and infant daughter Pam. The rest of her children were born and raised in southern Ontario. Upon the passing of younger sister Anna, Eva took in her nephew Skip and raised him as part of the big family unit. Eva had many careers over the years. When her children were young she was the quintessential homemaker. She kept the kids busy growing a massive vegetable garden, raising small farm animals and baking 600 loaves of bread plus other tasty treats weekly during the summer market season. Eva made sure that all were involved in keeping up with the chores and the household running. She passed along her great work ethic and thriftiness to her children.

When her family had grown and with only the three youngest still at home Eva wrote her Real Estate exam. She was a successful realtor in the Cambridge, ON area for over 21 years. Upon retiring from real estate she enjoyed working in her beautiful flower gardens, raising pure bred poodles and hosting family gatherings whenever possible. Eva’s lasagna was a staple of the family gathering and her very special carrot cake will never be forgotten. She loved going back to the east to visit the extended family nearly every year.

Eva’s greatest joy in life was her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was the matriarch of the family and will be affectionally remembered as ‘One Tough Old Broad’. Her family would say she is the greatest example of how to grow old with grace and tenacity. Eva’s love has touched generations of family members always promoting gratitude and thankfulness. Whether she is known as Mom, Gram or Aunt Eva she spread love and smiles to anyone she considered family or friend.
