It is with heartfelt love and gratitude that we celebrate the life of Edith Edna Magee. Edith passed away peacefully on the morning of February 9, 2025, at the well-lived age of 94.
Edith lived a rich and full life, surrounded by her loving family and wonderful friends. Her deep commitment to her faith and the Northminster Church community was evident throughout her life’s journey.
She was predeceased by her best friend and cherished husband, Jack (July 18, 2001). Edith was the loving mother to Gord (Michele), John (Marilyn), and Mark (Tamara). She will be forever in the hearts of her seven grandchildren: Jacqueline, Jane, Jill, David, Matthew, Jessica, and Jenna. Edith was also blessed as a great-grandmother to Michael, Cameron, Jace, Jett, Hudson, and Deacon.
For many years, Edith and Jack enjoyed their cottage on Cameron Lake, creating cherished memories with family and friends. They also shared a passion for travel, exploring Ireland, England, Germany, France, Austria, and South America.
Edith had a love of reading and devoured an endless number of books. She had a keen eye for fashion, always stylish with trendy clothing and matching accessories. An accomplished knitter, proud nurse, and a dedicated member of the Imperial Order Daughters of the Empire, Edith devoted her time to improving the lives of others through education.
Her quick wit, intelligence, Irish twinkle, and humor will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff at St. Joseph’s at Fleming, Peterborough, for their years of compassionate and loving care. Special thanks to Carol Rodd for her dedicated and dignified approach in supporting our loving mother.

As per Edith’s wishes, a private family reflection will be held to celebrate her warmth, incredible impact, and presence that will be deeply missed.
