It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Gaspare Mangiapane on June 9, 2025, after a sudden illness, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Salemi, Sicily, Italy to Vito Mangiapane and Francesca Grassa, Gaspare immigrated to Toronto where he built a life of love and devotion with his beloved wife Antonietta.

A cherished father to Vito, Franca (Sante), Lina (Paulo), and Josie (Nicola), and a proud Nonno to Alessandro, Michael, David, Matthew, Daniele, Anastasia, and Aurora. Gaspare’s memory will live on through his stories, his love for family, and his gentle, generous spirit.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12 from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home, 211 Langstaff Road East, Thornhill, ON.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 13 at 12:00 p.m. in the Chapel of St. Joseph at the same location. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, 8361 Yonge Street, Thornhill.
