MANKE, Shirley Manke

Passed away peacefully at Chapman House on Saturday, April 18, 2026. Born in Toronto on February 12, 1929, Shirley Alberta Manke (nee Mitchell) of Owen Sound was in her 98th year.

Loving mother-in-law of Patricia Manke of Chesley. Cherished grandma of Dennis Manke Jr. (Nadine) of Nova Scotia and Amanda Manke (Stuart) of British Columbia. Proud great grandma of Ethan, Lachlan and Cooper.

Predeceased by her husband Ronald Manke, son Dennis Manke, and by her parents Albert and Ethel Mitchell.

Shirley Manke loved John “The Duke” Wayne movies and cherished quiet time at her Muskoka cottage, where she happily puttered along on her four-wheeler and snowmobile, licence or not.

In keeping with Shirley’s wishes, cremation is taking place. Private arrangements are entrusted to Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, Owen Sound, 519-376-7492.
