June 30, 1941 – December 11, 2024

linda jane march 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Linda Jane March (née Douglas), who passed away peacefully on December 11, 2024, at the age of 83, in the palliative care unit of North Northumberland Hospital.

Born in Lindsay, Ontario, to Gladys and Doug Douglas, Linda is survived by her devoted husband of 66 years, Lloyd; her three daughters, Wendy (Dean Butler), Shelley (Ken Karpa), and Tina (Bob Bridger); and her beloved grandchildren, Carley, Amelia, Hayden, Hanna, and Lily. She is also survived by her brother Bill Douglas (Nicole) and her brother-in-law Bill March (Sue).

Linda was an accomplished golfer and cherished the friendships she formed at Cedarbrae Golf & Country Club and Plantation Golf & Country Club in Florida, where she and Lloyd spent many happy winters. Her passion for gardening brought her immense joy, and she continued to cultivate and admire her gardens well into her 80s. Her unique wit, humor, and memorable “Linda-isms” will be dearly missed.

Her devotion to her husband Lloyd and his to her was a constant throughout their lives, offering comfort and inspiration to all who knew them. The family finds solace in knowing Linda is now in a peaceful garden, a place of eternal beauty and tranquility.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the entire palliative care team and Dr. Mulé for their compassionate care during Linda’s final days.

Cremation has taken place, and no formal service will be held as per Linda’s wishes.

Memories and notes of condolence may be shared at MacCoubrey Funeral Home.
