Pamela Amy Ethelburga Marchand

December 20, 1922 – December 4, 2025

Smiling senior woman with birthday cake in restaurant.

passed peacefully in her sleep on December 4, 2025 at the age of 102.

Pam was married to Gerald Denys Marchand in England who passed away on March 26, 2005. She is survived by her children Paul Kenneth Rene Marchand (Patricia) Lawrence William Marchand (Jeanette), Jane Marchand Faries (Stephen), grandchildren Jason, Sabrina Dytnerski ( Jake) , Jennifer Sheffler (Andrew), John Faries (Shila), Kelly Young (Barry) and great grandchildren Ella Faries, Isabelle and Max Sheffler, Olive and Ridley Dytnerski .

She spent her childhood in Norfolk, England and was a member of the Wrens during WW2 where she met and married Gerald. They had their two sons before moving to Montreal, Canada in 1945 where 2 years later they had Jane. After a 35 year long and successful career at Wire Rope Industries Pam moved to North Vancouver where she extended her career and ultimately retired to volunteer at the West Vancouver Senior Center. There, she organized other retirees into a productive group who made various crafts for sale at the Senior Center.

She traveled often and loved visiting her daughter Jane in Florida and going back to Europe to show her grandchildren the sites. She spent quality time with all her children and grandchildren throughout the years knitting and crocheting baby clothes, sweaters and blankets which are treasured to this day.

Pam is safely in the arms of Jesus, no doubt greeted by all her many friends that preceded her. Although she will be missed here on earth, it’s never “goodbye” but rather “see you later”.
