MARKHAM, John Arthur Markham

John Arthur Markham, known to all as Jack, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 2, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on May 5, 1934, Jack lived a full life and leaves behind a rich legacy of love and kindness.

Jack was a devoted husband to his wife, Margaret, for over 55 years. Together, they raised three children: Ralph, Chris (Raghad), and Jennifer. Jack’s heart expanded even further with the arrival of his grandchildren: Robbie, Isabella, Ryan, Olivia, and Naomi. His gentle presence and thoughtful guidance will be deeply missed by his family.

Jack was also the proud brother of his late sister, Jane, who resided in England. He lived his life with dignity, a quick wit, quiet strength, and a commitment to serving his community.

Funeral Details: Family and friends may visit the Turner & Porter Butler Chapel (4933 Dundas St. West, Etobicoke) on Friday, January 10th, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM. The funeral service will be held at St. George’s-on-the-Hill Anglican Church (4600 Dundas St. West, Etobicoke) on Saturday, January 11th, at 11:00 AM, with a reception to follow at the church.
