MARTIN, Claireete Saundra Laurine Martin

Peacefully, at the Brantford General Hospital, on Thursday, May 14, 2026, Claireete Martin passed away at the age of 85. Beloved wife of Ted (Edward) Martin. Loving mother of Kevin (Carol) of Thornton, Ontario and Kris of Paris, Ontario. Cherished “Grammie” of Matthew (Taylorr), Tyler, Melissa, Mark, Eric and Maiya. Claireete was the treasured and devoted only child of the late Harold and Eleanor Perrin.

Claireete was a proud graduate of Hamilton Teachers’ College, Class of 1961. Throughout her teaching career, she taught primary grades at German’s Central School and later served as a supply teacher with the Grand Erie District School Board. Faith and service were central to Claireete’s life. She faithfully served on the executive of the Brantford Christian Businesswomen’s Club from 1968 until 2006 and generously volunteered her time helping with Chapel Services at Park Lane Terrace Nursing Home in Paris, Ontario.

A gifted vocalist, Claireete shared her love of music as a soloist in church services, weddings and funerals. She was also an avid reader from childhood onward, always finding joy and comfort in books, music and fellowship. More than anything else, the foundation of Claireete’s life was her deep and personal relationship with her Lord and Saviour.

Friends will be received at the Dwayne D. Budgell Funeral Home, 1105 Rest Acres Road, Paris, Ontario, on Tuesday from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow in Paris Cemetery. In Claireete’s memory, donations to ShareWord Global (formerly Gideon Bibles) would be appreciated by her family.
