Martin (Marty) Kenneth Mitchell  passed away peacefully with his beautiful wife Bonnie at his side on Tuesday October 27, 2026 at Michael Garron Hospital after a courageous battle with Cancer.

Martin is predeceased by his parents  Kenneth Mitchell and Eleanore (Ellie) Anne Mitchell (nee Little) and a Sister Louise (Lou) Eleanore Mitchell.

Martin enjoyed life and had many passions.  Several of his lifelong passions were writing and playing music with Seventeen and Change, and Kennedy Station,  Marshalling at Mosport and slolam car racing becoming # 1 in Ontario and recently resumed his fondness for Photography.   He enjoyed watching the Bluejays games and travelling to Mexico.  Martin enjoyed a good game of Euchre, Cribbage, Crokinole, Monopoly or Farkle usually achieving the win.

His most recent passion was leaving the city to go to our summer home up north.  He spent hours on the deck  inhaling the beauty of the vast country scenery and all the wildlife that surrounded us capturing the wildlife on his camera and sharing some of his pictures online.

He had a unique sense of humour, often catching us completely off guard with his jokes and unexpected answers.

That wonderful, familiar sound of laughter filled our home with happiness.
We all have our own memories of this wonderful human being, whether the racing community, the music community, from school, from work. He will be in our hearts forever.

Everyone of us has spent special moments with him. Moments we will always cherish.

There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, November 14, 2026 at the Toronto Don Valley Hotel and Suites, 175 Wynford Drive, Toronto , in the Valley Room from 2pm to 4pm. (Complmentary parking will be provided.)

Come join Martin’s Family to Celebrate the special moments we shared with him.
