HAWN, Mary Hawn

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Hawn (nee Gerovac).
Mary was predeceased by her husband of 66 years, Doug Hawn.
Mary was a beloved mother to Tim Hawn (Lisa) and to Lori Hawn (David).
She was a cherished grandmother to Andrea Hawn and Sarah Hawn, and a dear great-grandmother to Audrey Hawn.
Mary was the loving daughter of the late Julia Rajacich and the late Joseph Gerovac. She was predeceased by her sisters, Sandra, Julie and Dale. She will be fondly remembered by her sister June, as well as by her many nieces and nephews.
Mary grew up in Schumacher and was proud to hail from northern Ontario. She was a registered nurse, and spent the majority of her career working at the Hotel Dieu Hospital in Cornwall. During her retirement she enjoyed spending time with family, going for walks, listening to music, and browsing on her computer. She was an avid reader, and it was rare to see her without a book nearby.
As per Mary’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private inurnment service will be held at a later date.
