Clara Lois Masters

August 29, 1942 – December 4, 2025

Peacefully, surrounded by her family, Lois Masters (McCabe) passed away at the Maple View Extendicare, on December 4th, 2025, at the age of 83.

Lois was the devoted wife, lifelong love and best friend of Henry Masters (Harry) of 62 years. She was the loving and dedicated mother to Shelley Dauphinais (Dan), Shirley Masters (Dave) and Steven Masters.

Proud Nana of Silvia Duclos (Justin), Amanda Taylor (Nathan), Donny Dauphinais (Bryce) and Kevin Dauphinais. Beloved G-Nan to her great grandchildren; Aubree, Ashton, Philippe and Avery.

Predeceased by her parents, late Bernard McCabe and late Eleanor McCabe (nee. Keilly). Sister of the late Leslie McCabe (Late Rita), Late Lillian Reardon (Late Alan), Late John (late Ann), Late Lewis McCabe (late Pauline), Late Luella McPhee (late Neil) and late Leo McCabe (Donelda).

Also predeceased by her parents-in-law, the late Irma Derry and the late Reg Masters, and her cherished siblings-in-law: late Ernie Masters (late Beverly), Late Bob Masters (late Florence), Late Wesley Masters (late Carmel),Late Angeline Mattila (Late Gary), Late Hugh Masters (late Donelda), Don Masters (Late Vina), Late Florence McLelland (late Jack), Ted Masters (late MaryAnn), Nancy Cerenzie (John), Lynn Dobbin (Barry).

Special aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Lois spent many years as a devoted nanny, caring and raising many children with love.

Her “card girls”, Betty, Myrna and Audrey, held a special place in her heart, and their friendship brought her so much joy. Also remembering her good friends the late Roberta Alexandra and the late Janet Spooner.

Cremation has taken place and a private gathering followed for her immediate family.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Alzheimer Society Sault Ste Marie & Algoma, in honour of Lois’ memory.

A special thank you to the ”beautiful” 4th floor care staff at Maple View Extendicare; whose kindness and care never went unnoticed.
