MCADAM, David John McAdam
March 20, 1996 - March 22, 2026It is with great sadness and heartbreak that we announce the passing of David John McAdam on March 22, 2026, at Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto following a short and valiant battle with cancer.
Dearly loved son of mom Kym and dad Ken (Ermie), and brother of Erin. David will also be missed by his Nanny and Poppa Florence and Joseph, Aunt Jody, Uncles Jay and Mike, along with his cousins Justin and Alexa, his cat Lily, extended family & friends. Predeceased by his Nana, Heather McAdam, whom he missed dearly, Grandpa Ralph and Grandy Pam, and his special boy Spaz, his beloved cat.
Our thanks and gratitude go out to those at Princess Margaret Hospital who provided care and support during Davidβs treatment. A special thanks to friends and family for their support during this time.
David John McAdam loved anything related to motors, be it rebuilding an engine, fixing motors, or making his dirt bike and scooter run faster and better, as well as taking them out for either a solo or group ride. He had been looking forward to ice racing, his next adventure, and could often be found in the garage working on his ice racing car.
David also loved summertime, and being outdoors. He enjoyed camping, going to a cottage, kayaking on a lake and fishing. He could be found sitting on a dock, under the gazebo or on a deck with a beer in hand. He loved getting together with friends for a barbecue and experimenting with the smoker.
David enjoyed spending time with friends and family and especially looked forward to holiday dinners and special occasions. Turkey dinners will never be the same for us. He also had a great affection for animals, and always tried to rescue any he could from the time he was a small boy, and was known to bring home strays he found. Spaz and Lily were so lucky to have him.
David was a loyal friend, and had a strong work ethic. We will miss his sparks of humour and random acts of kindness. David had big emotions and felt everything deeply. He had big dreams, and lived his life to the fullest he could. No small measures for our boy! He is gone too soon to make all his dreams come true. His memory will forever live on in our hearts.
