MCALPINE, David Wilson McAlpine

Passed away peacefully on December 27, 2025, in his 98th year, following a brief illness.
David is lovingly remembered by his wife of 70 years, Nancy (née Tervit). He was a devoted father to Sheona and David (Tracey), and a proud grandfather to Kendra and Kelsey, step-grandfather to Jeremy and Paige.
Born in Paisley, Scotland, David and Nancy emigrated to Canada in 1965, settling in Burlington, ON. There they built a life rooted in family and friendship – forming close bonds with neighbours and their church community while maintaining cherished connections with loved ones back in Scotland.
After retiring, David and Nancy spent many joyful years travelling with friends. In 2015, they moved to Whitby, ON, where David embraced a quieter rhythm of life. His favourite pastime was sitting on the porch (weather permitting) savouring a dram of whisky while working through a crossword or sudoku puzzle.
David’s family extends heartfelt gratitude to the 3rd Floor East team at Lakeridge Gardens Long-Term Care Home in Ajax. Their exceptional care over the past 3½ years, and their compassion toward Nancy and the family in David’s final days, will always be remembered and deeply appreciated.
