Peacefully, surrounded by loving family and friends on Sunday, May 10, 2026, at Bluewater Health, Kyle David McCallum passed away at the age of 43. Beloved son of Patricia (Dick) Lalonde and the late Karl McCallum. Cherished brother of Shea-Lyn Smith, loving uncle to Breanna and Brayden Smith. Prayed for by Dick’s family, Steve (Nicole), Scott (Lynette), Rick (Renee) and their children. Kyle’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to his Aunt Jackie and Uncle Doug Mellon; his friends Carrie Clements, Jason Wilkinson and Mike Turner for their continued support through Kyle’s declining health; and to Lance, Kyle’s care partners nurse who was beyond kind and compassionate the last few years and a real friend to Kyle.

Special thank you to the ICU staff at Bluewater Health, especially to Elizabeth, who helped us so much. Special mention to Dr. Emmon Gamble and Esther Gamble for their exceptional care and understanding. Kyle was loyal to his family, friends, his fur babies and of course his deep love for his music.

Kyle had a zest and a spirit larger than life. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.

Cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be received at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Thursday, May 14, 2026, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held at Temple Baptist Church, 1410 Quinn Dr. on Friday, May 15, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Diabetes Canada, the Kidney Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Foundation (cheques only at the funeral home please).
