Passed away peacefully after a short illness in the Markdale hospital with friends, Shirley and Tracey-Lee at his side. Cherished by daughter Karla(Ray) Hale and her mother Marion. Lovingly remembered as “grandpa John” to Joshua, Emily, and Caralyn. His quiet but strong presence in our lives have guided us and will continue to do so as life goes slowly and quietly on.
The family offers sincere appreciation to John’s many Friends, including Hugh and Linda for their support and care especially the past few weeks while John was in hospital, but who were present continuously throughout his life. Many thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Markdale hospital for their care and exceptional support.
Dad thought a lot of his community and friends and he was only ever a phone call away and he’d be there in his big red truck to fix whatever plumbing, water, electrical, or “heart/soul” that needed mending.
Cremation has taken place and details of the celebration of life will come in the following weeks. He will be laid to rest at the Temple Hill United Church Cemetery at a later date.
