Edward (Ed) Percival McCarthy passed away on June 26, 2025, at the age of 94. Ed was the last of his large family of 12 children. Predeceased by his loving wife, Joyce McCarthy, Ed leaves behind their 5 children, Ted (Helen), Jayne (Willie), Kevin (Diane), Tim (Pat) and Jeff (Anita) as well as grandchildren and great grandchildren.
After our Mom passed, Ed married again and unfortunately was predeceased by both Doris and Lillian.
Ed worked at Dofasco for 36 years and retired in 1991. He loved baseball and played for many years as a younger man and coached for several years for his sons’ teams.
Ed was a very private man and has requested a private family service. He will be laid to rest beside our mother Joyce, at the Hagersville Cemetery.
The family expresses their thanks to the Cedarwood Long Term Care Home in Simcoe for Dad’s care.
