It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Joan McCaw, our beloved mother and grandmother, who passed away peacefully on April 22nd, 2025, in Huntsville, Ontario, at the age of 88.
Born on June 5, 1936, in Woodstock, Ontario, Joan’s greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted wife for over 55 years to Ken McCaw (predeceased), loving mother to Kelly (Cheryl) and Susan (predeceased), and grandmother of Kaitlin and Michael (Kiran). She is also predeceased by her sister Gail and brother Doug.
After 30 years of service at Bell Canada, Joan retired in 1992 with her husband. She remained active in her community through volunteering with Trinity United Church, Huntsville Hospital Auxiliary, and other causes. Joan and Ken travelled the world together, and when home, she enjoyed sewing, baking, and the company of friends.
