Louise Marie McClinton passed away suddenly on the 16th of July, 2025. The faithful wife of the late David McClinton and the devoted and loving Mother of Kelly (husband Graeme) Ewing, Daryl McClinton, and Karen McClinton. Adored and cherished Grandmother to Sophie and Liam Ewing. Loving sister of Charles Akey (wife Wendy), Paul Akey (wife Suzie), and the late Jocelyne Akey.

Louise is predeceased by her parents, Bernard and Rita Akey. Louise (Weezie) will be remembered for her strength, warmth, and unwavering love for her family. She loved in a way that put others first, not because she had to, but because it is simply who she was. Louise shared deep and lasting friendships throughout her life, and these friends held a very special place in her heart. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures and happiness in the presence of others. Throughout her life, she welcomed others into her home with open arms and made it a place of belonging.

Louise retired from her teaching career in 2006 and enjoyed spending time on her many hobbies, such as reading, sewing, bowling, travelling, and spending time in nature. She also had a knack for taking almost anything apart to repair it herself. Guided by an enduring curiosity and a love of problem solving, she was a lifelong learner who deeply valued education.

Louise always wore a smile and never missed a chance to share a lighthearted joke or brighten someone’s day. Consistently choosing to find humour in situations and see the positive in life, she never complained and only ever persevered with quiet strength and enduring grace.

Her absence leaves a space no one can fill, and our lives will never be quite the same without her. We are all better for having known her, and her love will continue to guide us. Repose en paix, ma cherie.
