MCDOUGALL, Christina Dawn McDougall

Passed away with her family by her side on November 8th, 2025. Our feeling of loss is immeasurable. We hope that through communal reminiscing and loving reflection, we can continue to hold Chrissy in our hearts.

She was born on May 30th, 1963, in Shawville, Quebec, and grew up in a big, loving home with her parents, Sandy and Sharon (Hearty), her siblings, Beth, Patti, and Mike. Chris moved through life with a generous mix of curiosity, humour, and honesty that naturally attracted lifelong and loving friends.

She was a skilled jeweller and designer, and her artistry shone in everything she did.

She married Dave MacDonald, and they built a life full of genuine partnership, laughter, and many memories.

Later in life, Chris developed a real passion for the outdoors. Every weekend she could be found fishing, boating, kayaking, or hunting. Chris was always learning new skills. She soon became an expert sharing her knowledge with others. Her love of fishing developed through her countless hours spent with the women of the Ontario Women Anglers (OWA) as both an avid member and a dedicated volunteer.

Chris cherished family holiday celebrations. Auntie Chris will be deeply missed by her nieces and nephews: Emily Compton (Tim Alamenciak), Katherine Compton, Colleen Griffin, Charlotte McDougall, Brook-Lynn and Peyton MacDonald, Hayden and Hayleigh MacDonald, and her two precious great nephews, Oliver and Ben Alamenciak who brought her such immense joy and happiness in the past 3 years.

She loved to golf with her mom, Sharon, who predeceased her in March 2018.

She is survived by her husband, Dave, her father, Sandy, her sisters Beth Compton (Tom) and Patti McDougall Griffin, her brother Mike McDougall (Beth Stuart), her brothers-in-law, Justin MacDonald (Jennifer), and Dan MacDonald (Beth).

Chris leaves behind Dave, her entire family, and a circle of friends who loved her straightforward, loyal, generous way of being. She will be deeply missed.

In Christina’s memory, donations can be made to the Ontario Turtle Conservation Centre or the Dorothy Ley Hospice.

There will be a gathering of family and friends to celebrate and remember Chris:
