MCGREGOR, Gerry McGregor

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by love at Jessica’s House in Exeter on Sunday March1, 2026 after a short battle with throat cancer.

He was predeceased by his parents Gladys (Baker) McGregor January 2019 and Grant McGregor February 20212, several aunts and uncles and his sweet cat Maggie who he dearly missed.

Fondly remembered by siblings Chris, Rob & Elizabeth, and Dave.  Fun Uncle Gerry to Jake and Jenny, Luke and Courtney, Nic and Nyssa, Ashley and Matt, Dan, Amanda and Wally, and Grant.  Great Uncle to Henry, Duncan, Clem, Maureen, Frankie, Owen and Corinne.  Gerry was thankful for his abundance of friends and their visits, phone calls, and messages.  He will always be remembered for his wicked sense of humour and never ending stories.  No one was spared from being the butt of a joke.

Cremation has taken place.  There will be a Celebration of Gerry’s life held at the Seaforth Agri Plex, 140 Duke Street, Seaforth on Friday March 20, 2026 from 1:00 to 5:00 with words of remembrance at 1:30.  To honour Gerry we would like everyone to please wear their blue jeans.

Sincere appreciation to Mandy from Saint Elizabeth, for all her expertise, care, and the connection she made with Gerry.  Their easy banter helped him immensely and ensured he could stay at home.  Thank you to Ontario Health at Home team for their professional caring and support and Jessica’s House in Exeter for their compassionate care.
