McKenna, Mark Patrick passed away peacefully with family by his side at Mount Sinai Hospital on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, in his 67th year, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Devoted husband of Elaine for 37 wonderful years. Beloved Dad of Ryan (Stephanie), Sean (Meaghan), and Kathleen (Eric). Cherished Opa of Sienna, Cameron, Haylie, Lennon, Harper, and Maeve. Loving brother of Tim (Linda), Jill (Mike), and Mary-Ellen (Dave) and brother-in-law of Liesje. Predeceased by his parents Roland and Freda. Mark will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Special thanks to the Stem Cell Transplant Team at Princess Margaret Hospital and the ICU Team at Mount Sinai for their care and compassion.

Mark had an extraordinary sense of humour. He cared for others, offering love and support without hesitation. He had a kind and gentle soul and was an inspiration to all of the people whose lives he touched.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation or a charity of your choice. Online condolences may be shared at Armstrong Funeral Home.

As said with a smile by Mark: “I’m not telling you why you’re wrong, I’m explaining why I’m right.”
