MCKINNON, Wendy Marie McKinnon

On the morning of July 3rd at Bob Kemp Hospice in Hamilton, Ontario, Wendy Marie McKinnon passed away peacefully with her daughters by her side. Predeceased by her parents, Alec and Jean McMullen. Devoted and treasured Mother to Jen (Steve) and Amy. Beloved Gramma of Mason, Ava, Rhys, Makenna and Evan. Survived also by her siblings Susan (Don) and Steve (Phyllis).

Wendy’s compassion towards animals was incredible, all who knew her would agree she had signs of a (crazy) cat lady. Her distinctive laugh would fill a room, especially when she was winning at cribbage which was 99% of the time. She spent many weekends enjoying some beers, surrounded by family while listening to some Old Time Rock and Roll, cheers Mr. Seger! Along with her Sunday dinners of roast beef and yorkshire, Wendy made sure to help preserve family recipes and traditions for the next generation. Although Wendy’s sarcastic and stubborn personality will be missed, you will find it still lives on within  the hearts of her daughters.

As per Wendy’s wishes, there will be a private celebration for friends and family to honour her life. Jen and Amy would like to sincerely thank all the amazing people who helped their Mom in her journey to rest.
