MCLEAN, Morris Arnold McLean

He met his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at the age of 83. Morris was born in Owen Sound, Ontario and is the loving husband and best friend of Mary Elizabeth. He will be missed terribly by his children Todd and wife Colleen, Kerry Lynn and her husband Angel; grandchildren Kyle (Amanda), Jared (Dani), Frazer (Makenzie), Kiara (Paul) and Brandon. Morris is a great grandfather to Rhode, Rheya, Gia, Shep, Xiomara, Marco and Arianna. Morris was predeceased by his parents Howard and Gladys McLean, his brother and sister in law Calvin and Shirley, his sister Lorraine, his niece Patty, his grandson Dereck and his great grandson Rhys. Morris also leaves behind his brother Sharm (Ruth), his brother in law Jim and many nieces and nephews. Morris leaves behind many dear friends and loved ones around the globe; Hugo Benitez walked alongside him for many years and took the baton to continue the Bible School and thus the teaching of Church leaders in Guatemala.

Morris Arnold McLean served as a missionary for his entire adult life in Ecuador and Guatemala, he was dedicated to teaching the word of God. Morris was a man of strong convictions and a soft heart, he touched hundreds of lives and has been a spiritual father to many. Morris and Mary were inseparable in life and ministry, they went into war torn places that were devastated and stripped of hope and they rebuilt lives, souls, communities and churches.

Family and friends are invited to an intimate graveside service and burial at Ebenezer United Missionary Cemetery, 4250 Concession 12 Sunnidale, Stayner on Saturday, June 27, 2026 at 2 o’clock. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Bible School in Guatemala, Centro de Educación Biblica, or to assist with funeral expenses by cheque payable to Mary McLean or by e transfer to kerrymcreyes@gmail.com.
