Antero Borges De Medeiros, at the age of 80 years old, passed away peacefully in his sleep at LHSC Victoria Hospital on the morning of Tuesday, July 1st, 2025. A man of quiet strength and deep kindness, he rests now in peace, held in the hearts of those who loved him.
Beloved husband of the late Judith De Medeiros. Proud father of Louisa (Tony) Pileggi, Zenalia (Carlo) Vetere, Sandra (Paulo) Salgado, Susan (David) Ayres, and Tammy (Carlos) Teixeira. Cherished avô of Kayla, Andrea, Amanda, Hannah, Maria, Roman, late Dante, Zachary, and Morgan.
Dear brother of Martin (Connie), Fatima (Louis), Joe (Mary), Geraldina (Joe), and Oliver (Yaima). Dear brother-in-law of Hilda, Isaltina, and Ernesto. Uncle Antero will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, and godchildren.
Predeceased by his parents Manuel and Maria do Carmo De Medeiros, his brother Manuel (Maria Eduarda), and his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Odilia, Maria de Luz (Virgilo), Diniz (Georgina), Conceicao (Ernesto), Jose, and Anibal.
Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Sunday, July 6, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Prayers will be held at 4:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Cross Church, 10 Elm Street, on Monday morning, July 7 at 11:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at Holy Family Mausoleum, St. Peter’s Cemetery.
