MENZIES, Trudy Menzies

October 18, 1946 - May 17, 2026

Our hearts are broken to share that in the early morning hours of May 17, 2026 we lost our beloved Truds.

Trudy Menzies was married to Peter Menzies (2022). She was the beloved mother of Jennifer Menzies-Ellis (Dwayne Ellis) and Lynnsie Feijo (predeceased 2016) (Michael Feijo). Much loved grandmother to Joshua Feijo (Lauren Quilty), Benjamin Feijo (Bree Newsome), Benjamin Ellis and Emmy Ellis. Trudy is survived by her sister Barbra Heathcote and sister-in-laws Sheila Gollan and Honey Menzies. Trudy will be missed by her many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. Trudy was blessed with so many great friends through the years.

Trudy loved to be home and create magic in the garden with beautiful flowers and blooming trees. She always created a loving, warm space for family and friends to gather. She loved to travel with Peter to Mexico and have the sun touch her face.

Trudy’s greatest joys were her grandchildren. The four were her hearts delight. She loved playing cards, crafts, going to the park, playing catch and always cheering them on. Simply saying their names in her presence would make her eyes sparkle and a smile beam.

Friends and Family will be welcomed to a Celebration of Life at the Charing Cross Reception Suites at Toll Funeral Home, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford, on Wednesday June 10th, 2026, Trudy and Peter’s 59th Wedding Anniversary, from 1-4pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Trudy’s memory to the charity of your choice.

Mom always said ‘you should go, go and see, and know you can always come home’. You go now mom, home with Dad and Lynz. The kids and I will go get our shoes now. We love you.
