MERRITT, Patricia Mae Merritt

Passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at the age of 98.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Bruce (1997), and her sons, Thomas “Tommy” (1952) and Dennis (1974).

Patricia Mae Merritt will be lovingly remembered by her children: Nancy, Pam, Tim, and Rick (Denise). She was a proud grandmother to nine grandchildren: Michelle (Brenden), Jamie, Mark, Noah, Lauryn, John Adam (Tyra), and Andrea. She also leaves behind seven great-grandchildren-Mitchel, Elliott, Merritt, Owen, Austin, Brooklyn, and Wesley-and one great-great-grandchild, Everly Patricia Lynn.

Patricia’s legacy of love, strength, and devotion to her family will be cherished by all who knew her.

Visitation will take place at Reid Funeral Home, 87 Maidstone Ave. E, Essex (519-776-4233), on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Visitation will continue on Thursday May 7, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Woodslee United Church Cemetery. In memory of Patricia Online condolences and cherished memories may be shared at www.reidfuneralhome.ca
