Michael Joseph Bachinski passed away on August 21, 2026, at the age of 59.
Michael was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend whose kindness, generosity, humour, and welcoming spirit made people feel accepted and valued.
For 21 years, he worked as a Global Business Development Manager with MicroSurvey Software. His career gave him opportunities to travel, connect with people from many backgrounds, and turn business relationships into lasting friendships.
A gifted athlete and lifelong sports enthusiast, Michael played varsity basketball at Roosevelt University and Simon Fraser University. He remained a devoted Seattle Seahawks fan and also found great joy in cooking and sharing food with others.
Michael will be deeply missed by his wife, Tami; his elder daughter, Braelyn, and her husband, Marshall; his younger daughter, Boston; his mother, Ute, and her partner, John; his father, Walter, and his partner, Janis; his siblings, Sarah and Matthew; and his mother-in-law, Leigh.
To celebrate Michael’s life, his family encourages others to take a long walk, read a good book, share a delicious meal, watch a game—ideally the Seahawks—or help someone in need.
