Richard Bruce Mikel passed away on Monday, March 24, 2025, at Hospice Waterloo at the age of 74 years. Beloved husband of Janet (Fidler) for 54 years. Dear father of Bradley and Crystal of Kirkland Lake, and Steven and Tanya of Elmira. Loving grandpa of his eight grandchildren. Brother of Karen and Bill Scott, David and Christina, Keith and Maria. Richard will be remembered by his nieces, nephews, and their families. Deeply missed by his fur babies Charlie and Bella. Predeceased by his parents Harry and Doris (Franks) Mikel and his niece Christy.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, April 6, 2025, at the Elmira Legion, 11 First St. E., Elmira. Private family inurnment in Elmira Union Cemetery.
