Passed away at Hospice Renfrew on May 2nd, 2025 at the age of 67. Survived by his spouse Laurie (nee Deshane), son Curtis (Melissa Rhode) and daughter Sarah. Granddaughters Macie and Katie. Siblings Esther (Wayne), Jeff (Kathy), Ernie (AnneMarie) and their families. Mother-in-law Noma Deshane. Predeceased by his parents Bill and Angela Millar and father-in-law Jack Deshane.
Jim was a devoted spouse, a loving and proud father and grandfather. A 25-year career with SunLife, his dedication to his clients was second to none. Nothing made Jim happier than hunting and fishing, a trip to one of his beloved cabins or a trek in Algonquin Park.

Professional arrangements entrusted to Zohr Family Funeral Home, Renfrew. Visitation will take place on Sunday, May 4, 2025 from 6:00–8:00 pm and Monday, May 5, 2025 from 2:00–4:00 pm and 6:00–8:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at Trinity St. Andrew’s United Church, Renfrew on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at 11:00 am. Reception to follow at the Renfrew Curling Rink.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Renfrew, Renfrew Victoria Hospital Foundation or Trinity St. Andrew’s United Church.
