MILLER , Gerald Miller

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gerald Miller. On Saturday August 23, 2025, Gerald left this world in the comfort of Southlake Hospital in his 77th year.

Born on September 15, 1947 in Toronto, Gerald or Gerry as he preferred to be called, was a gentle soul, kind hearted and welcoming to all those he came in contact with. A devoted father of 2 who spent countless hours working and providing to the very best of his ability. Always willing to listen, he thoroughly enjoyed being around the ones he most cared about and loved, lending a helping hand wherever he went.

A farmer in Grand Valley, Draftsman at Ontario Hydro and Toronto stock exchange floor trader later on in life, Gerry experienced a wide spectrum of occupational careers. He was always dedicated to his work and took pride in a job well done.

Gerry will always be remembered for his countless hours spent playing sports with his kids, and heavy involvement travelling and watching his kids organized activities. He loved the outdoors and spent hours during retirement going for walks around the Newmarket area where he has resided these last 22 years.

The family of Gerald Miller extends a very grateful appreciation to Southlake Hospital for the wonderful care he received in his last weeks. In accordance with Gerald’s wishes he will be cremated God be with him.

Predeceased by his Mother Doris, Father Harold, Sister Margaret, and Nephew Robert his spirit will carry on with those left behind. Wife (separated) Linda, Son Evan, Daughter Megan, Daughter in law Jennifer, Grandchildren Rachel, Kobe, Kali, and Adrian, Sister Arlene, Brother in Law Ted, and Nieces/Nephews David, Cheryl, Holly, Heather, Dean will all greatly miss Gerry and cherish the good times we’ve enjoyed throughout the years.

It is very unfortunate to have lost such a wonderful person, and it is with extreme gratitude we express our blessings for having known such a dedicated selfless and unconditionally loving individual. He will be very very much missed. It is my sincere hope that we can all be united sometime in the future. God bless him
