MINER, Jennifer Lynne Miner
October 11, 1970 - February 28, 2026
With profound sadness, yet deep gratitude for a life so beautifully lived, we announce the passing of Jennifer Lynne Miner (Jenni) — a loving daughter, devoted sister, proud aunt and great-aunt, faithful friend, and lifelong caregiver. While our hearts grieve her loss, we celebrate the extraordinary compassion, faith, and joy she poured into the lives of so many.
Jenni was the cherished and devoted daughter of Brian and Dawn Miner. The bond she shared with her parents was one of deep love, laughter, and steadfast support. Most recently, Jenni and her mom, Dawn, created a treasured memory together when they travelled to Vancouver, British Columbia, on a five-day train journey to visit Kelly and her boys — a journey marked by heartfelt conversations, stunning scenery, and the simple, precious gift of time shared together.
She was a loving and loyal sister to Michael Miner (Michelle), Kelly Miner (Bobby), and Steve Miner (Manon). Jenni took great pride in her family and was a constant source of strength and encouragement. As an aunt to Natalie, Justine (Kyle), Erica (Sydney), Casey, Riley, Matthew, Maxwell, Emma, and Paige. . And long-time friend of JP and Thomas — and Great-Aunt to Cohen and Hudson — she was a true champion. Few things brought her more happiness than watching her nieces and nephews grow, succeed, and discover who they were becoming. She celebrated their milestones as if they were her own and offered unwavering support, honest advice, and endless love.
Jenni’s heart for caregiving defined her life.
Jenni was also deeply blessed by the gift of true friendship. She shared a special and meaningful bond with Jennifer Westlake, Patti Dubois, Grace Morneau, Krista Hillier and Zakia Abouzeeni— each relationship unique, personal, and deeply treasured — and she was equally grateful for the many other close friends who walked alongside her throughout her life. In different ways and through different seasons, she leaned on and journeyed with each of them in laughter and in tears, in strength and in vulnerability.
Her circle was wide and full of love, including her cherished “ole gals,” as she lovingly called them. Jenni had a beautiful way of making every friend feel seen, valued, and appreciated, and she carried each of those relationships close to her heart.
She built a long and meaningful career as a paramedic with the County of Essex Emergency Medical Services (EMS), answering calls not simply as part of a job, but as part of her calling. In her most recent role as Community Paramedic, she ensured compassionate care for vulnerable members of the community, particularly seniors. Jenni formed deep, genuine connections with those she served. She saw the person beyond the need, the story behind the circumstance. She was profoundly grateful for the privilege of walking alongside people in their most difficult moments.
Her faith in Jesus Christ was the foundation of her life. Jenni was a faithful servant at Riverside Baptist Church and previously at SCBC Church, where she immersed herself in Bible study, prayer, and service. She believed that faith was not simply something to be spoken, but something to be lived. Whether through leading and participating in Bible study groups, offering practical help, or quietly showing up for someone in need, Jenni reflected Christ’s love through action. She lived with the assurance of God’s promises and a steadfast hope that extended beyond this life.
Jenni also carried her faith into the world through travel and mission work. She cherished her visit to Jerusalem, Israel, where Scripture came alive in a powerful way. Her mission trips to Africa deeply impacted her, broadening her perspective and strengthening her desire to serve. Jenni was an avid traveler who loved experiencing different cultures and landscapes, but what she treasured most was connecting with people — hearing their stories and sharing in their lives.
At home, her tender heart was most evident in the love she gave to her beloved fur-babies, Edna and the late Oscar. They were her world. Edna, her faithful companion, remained lovingly by her side at the time of her passing — a reflection of the devotion Jenni so freely gave and received.
Jenni was known for telling it like it is — honest, direct, and without pretense — yet always rooted in love. She never held a grudge. She valued depth over surface, sincerity over small talk. She sought meaningful relationships and was never content with anything less than authentic connection. If you were in her circle, you were truly known, fiercely supported, and deeply cared for. She would go above and beyond without hesitation because that is simply who she was.
Jenni will forever be remembered as a caregiver — not only by profession, but by nature. Her legacy is one of faith in action, courageous love, servant-hearted leadership, and joyful generosity. Though we mourn her absence, we rest in the comfort of her unwavering faith and the promise of eternal life.
