MISHTSCHENKO, Lydia Mischtschenko

Peacefully passed away on January 20, 2026 at Lakeridge Health Ajax, at the age of 103.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Alex (2011). Loving mother of Emily Theriault (the late Marcel), George Mitchell (Heather), and Val Bradley (Kenneth). Cherished Baba of Terry (Kelly), Angela (Darren), Tammy (Matt), Matthew, and David (Mandy) and Great-Baba Eden, Abigail, Ruby, Taylor, Mckenzie, Kaitlin, and Luca.

Lydia was very passionate about gardening. She was widely known for her breathtaking gardens, spaces that brought joy and peace to all who visited.

When she wasn’t spending time in her gardens, she enjoyed cooking authentic Ukrainian food for her friends and family.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026 from 1-2 p.m. at Armstrong Funeral Home (124 King St. E., Oshawa). A Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel at 2 p.m. Interment at St. Wolodymyr & St. Olha Cemetery.
