MITCHELL, Ralph Mitchell

We announce the peaceful passing of Ralph James Mitchell, son of William and Thelma Mitchell, at the Haliburton Hospital on Thursday, March 5, 2026, in his 80th year. Born on May 12, 1946, in Toronto, Ontario.

Beloved father of Jennifer Lee (predeceased), Brett (Judy), Lynn (Sean), and Grandfather of Reid, Carter, Tanner, Paige, Tyler, and Riley. Dear brother of Wendy Galbraith. Ralph is also lovingly remembered by his many friends and acquaintances.

Ralph was an avid Mustang enthusiast; each time someone came to visit, Ralph made sure to show off his pride and joy. He was proud to be able to pass down his 1967 Mustang to his son Brett, who shared his love for the vehicle. More than just admiring from afar, in his younger years, Ralph loved to tinker and fix up old cars. Ralph also enjoyed spending his time at home, cheering on the Bluejays or the Maple Leafs. When Ralph wasn’t at home, you could find him going out for tours on his side-by-side. Ralph will fondly be remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Celebration of Life

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, March 22, 2026, from 1:00 – 3:00 pm at the WILBERFORCE LEGION – BRANCH 624, 1007 Burleigh Rd, Wilberforce, ON K0L 3C0. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Ralph’s memory can be made to the Ontario Federation for Cerebral Palsy.
