MORRISON, John “Jigger” Bernard Morrison

Morrison, John Bernard “Jigger” died unexpectedly at the Collingwood General & Marine Hospital on Saturday, March 15, 2025, just shy of his 66th birthday.

John, of Wasaga Beach, will be lovingly remembered by his dear friend Susan Rasmussen, her daughter Alexandra Morrison, his extended family, and many friends.

Jigger was an avid fisherman—earning his nickname when he was once hooked in the ear by a jig—and a passionate hockey fan who never missed a chance to cheer on the Leafs. Formerly a lobster fisherman in Nova Scotia, he later moved to Ontario and was proud to be part of the crew who helped build the Terry Fox Highway.
