MOYER, Robert “Rob” Moyer
July 15, 1971 - July 22, 2026After celebrating his 55th birthday, Rob passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, July 22, 2026. Loving husband and best friend of Peri (Csont) Moyer. Fun, loving, and proud father of Liam, Ben, and Alie all at home. Cherished son of Joan (Johnstone) Moyer, and son-in-law of Helen Csont and Rick Reichard.
He will be missed by sisters-in-law Rebecca Reichard, Tara Csont Mollett (Gord Mollett), Erin Csont (Ted Albrecht), brothers-in-law Jonathan Reichard, Christian (Shaye) Reichard, niece River, nephew Rolan, auntie Fern Kirton, cousins Trevor (Paula), Chris (Danielle), Allison (the late Craig), Michelle (Paul), Christine (Bryan), and their families, as well as his many friends.
Predeceased by his father Bill Moyer, father-in-law Peter Csont, uncles Terry Kirton, Ivor (Jean) Johnstone, and cousins Dianne Johnstone, Rob Johnstone, and Elaine Johnstone.
Rob dedicated more than 24 years of service to Home Hardware, where he built lasting friendships and earned the respect of colleagues and customers alike. A devoted volunteer, he proudly served with the Elmira Fire Department, was deeply involved in Woolwich Minor Hockey, and was an active member of the Community Awareness and Emergency Response (CAER) Group. Rob was a lifelong Miami Dolphins fan and rarely missed an opportunity to cheer on his other favourite teams: the Toronto Maple Leafs and the New York Yankees.
In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, ATVing, having a fun time, and above all, spending time talking and connecting with everyone he met. Known for his warm personality and gift for conversation, Rob had a remarkable ability to make people feel welcome and valued, leaving a lasting impression on all who crossed his path.
A special thank you to all of Rob’s health care team for the care and compassion shown to Rob during his journey.
A memorial service will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2026 at Gale Presbyterian Church, 10 Barnswallow Dr., Elmira with a reception to follow in the fellowship hall. A private family interment will be held in Elmira Union Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to WRHN Foundation – Cancer Care or SickKids Foundation would be appreciated and may be made through the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira.
