It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the peaceful passing of Anna Maria Mucciaccio on May 21, 2026. At the age of 93. Anna Maria was born on February 14, 1933, in Bonefro, Campobasso, Italy, to Luigi and Antonietta Ruccolo.

For over fifty years, Anna Maria was married to her late loving husband, Nicola, who preceded her in death in 2008.

Anna Maria worked for many years at the University of Windsor until her retirement.

Anna Maria’s life was one of family, friendship, and faith. Her children, Tina Fantetti (Russ) and John Mucciaccio (Karen), and grandchildren Nick, Anthony, Meagan, and Adam-and her beloved great-grandchild, Marissa, who were her greatest joys of her life, who will forever cherish the warmth of Nonna’s embrace.

Anna Maria is now reunited with her siblings late Nunzio Antonio Ruccolo (Virginia), late Nicolina Mucciaccio (late Micheal), late Itala Mucciaccio (late Domenico), and late John Ruccolo (Carolina). Anna Maria was the cherished sister of Rita Van Buren (Augustus) and the beloved and special aunt to Maria Topalovic and many nieces and nephews.

Anna Maria is also predeceded by herΒ sister-in-law the late Rufina Colombo (lateΒ Michele Antonio),Β brother-in-law the late Antonio Mucciaccio (lateΒ Rufina), and sister-in-law the late Maria Mucciaccio (late Salvatore).

A woman of simple pleasures, Anna Maria cherished gardening, and cooking, often bringing her family together to enjoy her wonderful meals. Her generous heart and caring nature were felt by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Anna Maria’s family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful group of neighbors who supported and watched over her, providing companionship and care for many years.

Anna Maria leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and resilience. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered by those whose lives were enriched by her presence. Her spirit will continue to guide and inspire her family, now and forevermore.

Visitation will be held at Windsor Chapel – Banwell Location (11677 Tecumseh Rd. East, Windsor, ON) on May 26, 2026 from 3 pm to 5 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm with prayers at 4 pm. A brief visitation will take place at the chapel on May 27, 2026 from 9 am until 9:40 am, procession to follow making our way to Our Lady of the Atonement Parish (2940 Forest Glade Dr, Windsor, ON) for Mass at 10 am. Entombment to take place at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens (1805 ON-3, Oldcastle, ON).

In her memory, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Cancer Foundation, organizations close to Anna Maria’s heart.
