Muriel Grace Sillen leaves behind a profound legacy of unconditional love, selflessness, and dedicated service. A woman of remarkable grace and strength, Muriel spent her long life ensuring that those around her were always cared for, consistently placing the needs of others above her own.
She was a deeply loving mother of Katherine Troop, Barbara (David) Yarrow, and the late Peggy (Rick) Sproule. Cherished grandmother of Zackary (Sarah), Andrew (Robyn), Brandon (Samantha), Mitchell, Tyler, Alexandra and Adam. Great-grandmother of Addison, James, Benjamin, Charlie, Wesley and Owen. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Geurt, with whom she shared many beautiful years of partnership and devotion.
Beyond the walls of her home, Muriel was a pillar of her community. Whether organizing neighborhood initiatives, fundraising, helping those in need, or simply offering a listening ear. Her reward was simply knowing she had made the world a little brighter for someone else.
A private burial service was held for the immediate family to honor her life and bid her a peaceful farewell.
Her family extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who shared in Muriel’s journey and supported her throughout her life.
Her spirit of giving and boundless love will live on forever in the hearts of her family, friends, and the community she served.
